RIDE! announces collaboration with ISS, RISE, RARTEL and UMC, the Romanian Consortium on the EMISAR satellite mission

(Paris, December 18th, 2025) RIDE!, the leading provider of launch mission support and operational launch guidance, is proud to announce its collaboration with these Romanian partners on the EMISAR Project, a cutting-edge initiative in satellite communications that demonstrates the strength of European cooperation in space missions.

“Collaborating with RIDE! on the EMISAR mission provided the reliability and precision we needed to deliver our payload safely into orbit. Their step-by-step guidance ensured our payload was flight-ready on time, allowing us to focus on its performance while relying on their experience and expertise to manage the journey to orbit.” - Claudiu Cherciu, RISE Technical Lead.

Through this partnership, RIDE! is supporting the EMISAR teams in mission planning, integration and launch campaign management, ensuring a smooth path from integration to orbit. Following the successful completion of the satellite test campaign, including environmental and TVAC assessments, we are now entering the integration phase.

“We are honored to work with this strong Romanian consortium and proud to support the EMISAR teams with our expertise in launch mission management operations. By enabling the RISE and ISS team to focus on its technical goals, we help ensure a smooth and successful mission, while contributing to the growth of the European space community. Thanks to Dan ȘELARU, Marius Trusculescu, Claudiu Cherciu, and all involved teams for your trust said Valentin Benoit, CEO of RIDE!

EMISAR Satellite Mission: Advancing European Space Capabilities

EMISAR is a store-and-forward communication satellite, designed to securely transmit digital messages between distributed ground stations. Beyond its technological demonstration, the mission represents a strategic milestone for Europe and Romania, fostering innovation, developing local expertise, and reinforcing Europe’s role in the global space sector.

“With EMISAR, we are not only operating a 1U CubeSat to demonstrate asynchronous communication between ground stations—we are expanding the frontiers of space technology and reinforcing Romania’s role as a contributor to cutting-edge satellite innovation”. Dr. Dan ȘELARU, Scientific Researcher III and Principal Investigator of the EMISAR project.

Partnership and Consortium
This project brings together academic, industrial operational and research excellence:

  • ISS – coordinating entity and testing facilities.
  • RISE – industrial partner providing mission-critical engineering support.
  • RARTEL – responsible for radio communications subsystems.
  • UMC – technical partner for antenna and communications systems.
  • RIDE! – launch mission management services provider.

By combining the strengths of these partners, EMISAR exemplifies how European space initiatives can deliver high-impact missions through cross-border collaboration, shared expertise, and operational excellence.

This collaboration also highlights RIDE!’s commitment to enabling reliable access to space, supporting innovative satellite missions, and how through collaboration we can strengthen Europe’s space capabilities.
