RIDE! releases its new mission patch for The Carpathian RIDER! mission

At RIDE!, mission patches are design as part of the overall launch campaign. They reflect the context of the mission, the partners involved, and contain some cultural references linked to the mission itself.

Mission overview

The Carpathian RIDER! campaign covers RIDE!’s end-to-end support of the EMISAR satellite launch mission, including the integration campaign, pre-launch activities and commercial and contractual negotiations with all stakeholders involved.

The EMISAR satellite has been developed by the Romanian consortium composed of: the Institute of Space Science (ISS), Romanian InSpace Engineering (RISE), Rartel and Universitatea Maritimă din Constanța.

The satellite was launched aboard the SpaceX Transporter-16 rideshare mission on March 30th, 2026 and successfully deployed into space since then.

Mission patch

The Carpathian RIDER! title for this mission takes its primary reference from Jules Verne’s The Castle of the Carpathians roman.

Additional visual references include surreal and symbolic elements found in the work of Mircea Cărtărescu, as well as compositional approaches inspired by the Romanian painter Iulia Hălăucesco.

The visual composition integrates elements associated with Romania, including the Carpathian landscape and local wildlife, together with references to California where the launch took place. All these elements reflect the international structure and organization of this launch mission.
