RIDE! Unveils Mission Patch for The RIDER! from Earth Mission

RIDE! is proud to unveil the official mission patch for our latest launch, “The Rider! from Earth.” This mission marks our second collaboration with SatRev, highlighting the trust, synergy, and seamless teamwork between our teams, while showcasing RIDE!’s end-to-end support in managing the launch mission campaign.

The PW6U CubeSat, developed by SatRev, is already in orbit. This 6U Earth Observation satellite features an optical payload with RGB + NIR capabilities, advanced on-board AI and image processing and the capacity to host external payloads. PW6U will deliver in-orbit demonstrations and provide critical Earth Observation services for applications ranging from agriculture and forestry to energy infrastructure and coastal monitoring over Poland. Its optical system captures imagery in four spectral bands at 5.8-meter resolution from 500 km altitude, enabling precise analysis for a wide range of sectors.

In the past weeks, the RIDE! team was on-site in the United States, completing the integration campaign in collaboration with SEOPS. This included coordinating the satellite’s transport from Europe, managing customs and taxes, performing post-transport verification, and preparing PW6U for deployment. RIDE!’s team led all pre-integration activities, ensuring a seamless installation of the satellite into the deployer and onto the launch vehicle.

The mission patch represents the culmination of this launch mission. Its circular design pays homage to the heliocentric model introduced by Nicolaus Copernicus, with a subtle depiction of the sun at its center. The patch also reflects the satellite’s orbital focus over Poland, featuring Copernicus’ house as a nod to his legacy. True to RIDE!’s tradition of incorporating pop culture into mission naming, this patch draws inspiration from the film The Man from Earth (2007).

With “The Rider! from Earth,” we celebrate the strong collaboration between RIDE! and SatRev, this kind of partnerships are a big part of what makes smooth and flexible launch missions possible.
