Ariane 62 took flight on July 9th at 16:00 local time (21:00 CEST), the new European heavy-lift launcher, Ariane 6, successfully embarked on
its inaugural voyage from the Guiana Space Centre. This event has marked a significant milestone for the European space industry.
Ariane 6, the latest member of the Ariane launcher family, the successor of Ariane 5, is a modular and versatile vehicle capable of reaching both low Earth orbit and deep space destinations.
The inaugural flight, designated VA262, was a demonstration to test the launcher's ability to break free from Earth's gravity and its in-flight behavior. Despite being a test flight, several payloads were aboard, including the Once Upon a RIDE! mission by RIDE!
Among the passengers was the Once Upon a RIDE! mission, and we are thrilled to announce that our client’s satellite is now successfully in orbit. This successful mission is the result of a close collaboration between our RIDE! and client's teams.
Thanks to the RIDE! platform and the ESA tender contest, our client was able to be part of the inaugural flight of Ariane 6 and got the end-to-end mission management by the RIDE! team.
Congratulations for this achievement to ESA, CNES, ArianeGroup et Arianespace!
